The overland haulage of the 348-shot ton rotor from Araraquara to Santos Port, in the State of São Paulo – Brazil was featured between the best performances of hauling in the world due to the complexity and innovative solutions designed by the company that ensures the total safety delivery of one of the largest  rotor ever manufactured in the world.

Rigging Job of the Year 2015

The winning job involved extremely intricate procedures using 1,000 and 500-tonnes hydraulic gantry system to support the installation of the plate mill housings of 14.63 x 05.50 x 02.21 meters weighing 325 metric tons into their bases. The solution focused on safe execution, cost, and time saving. The first time hydraulic gantry systems were used to perform this kind of settlement. Transdata recognizes that its success is based on the team’s dedication and congratulates everyone of its staff for this achievement.
 
SC&RA 

The Specialized Carriers and Rigging Association (SC&RA) is an international association of nearly 1,300 member companies from 43 nations. Members are involved  in specialized  transportation, crane and rigging operations, manufacturing and rental.

The 348-shot ton rotor, one of the largest ever manufactured in the world belongs to Belo Monte which is being built in Amazon on the Xingu River. Everything in this construction project is impressive. In installed capacity, Belo Monte will be the fourth largest dam in the world. Its guaranteed power output is enough to serve 60 million people, in current patterns of energy consumption in Brasil.

More than one year of prior preparation and studies were required to Transdata’s in-house engineering and management crews to establish the suitable route, specialized equipment and configuration, overweight permits, removal of obstructions, minimizing public inconveniences and ensuring safe delivery.
