Lifting
Goliath Crane Assembly
Operation:
Goliath Crane assembly by towerlift.
Highlight:
The equipment Goliath Crane is a gantry system used to handle complex cargo, mostly at shipyards. It assists the construction and maintenance of ships through lifting and transportation of heavy pieces.
Transdata and Transdata Fagioli do Brasil supported the assembly of the equipment at the shipyard located in Suape Port (PE). Highlighting the operation, the mainly pieces were erected by tower lift: Main Girder, Fixed Legs e Hinged Legs.
Performing tower lift systems on projects is new to the Brazilian market. The towers are structural modules where strand jacks work lifting the cargo. This system allows the assembling of heavy and over dimensioned equipment, thus reducing interferences and optimizing the operational schedule.
