Paranaguá is seen as one of the most important harbors of south Brazilian economy. About 91 kilometers from the capital, Curitiba, and with an area over 2 million square meters, it is classified as the 4rd largest in the world.
The Port aims at expanding its capacity of handling cargo in 50%, thus increasing from 800 thousand to 1.20 million TEU/year.
Transdata assisted the administration process regarding to installation of two harbor container cranes model P172L (WS) - Super, coming from Ireland. It included the construction of the site infrastructure, parts unloading from ship, erection of component pieces (up to 52 meters length and 105 tonnes) assembled up to 60 meters high.
